Important update for homeowners interested in completing energy efficiency retro-fits to their homes. The federal Greener Homes Grant, which offers up to $5,600 towards home upgrades, (including solar!) will be closing soon.

Here’s some things you need to know:

• In order to qualify, you must own your home, and live in it as your primary residence.
• Start your application on the Natural Resources Canada website here.
• You will need to hire a EnerGuide Energy Advisor to assess your home and produce a report. Find a list of certified advisors here.
