Electric Vehicle Chargers
Hakai Energy Solutions offers electric vehicle (EV) charger installations for those looking to take advantage of the government rebates in BC. Since 90% of EV charging is done at home, and level-2 charging systems are more than twice as efficient, installing an EV charging station can save you money and time.
The B.C. Government Now Provides EV Charger Rebates
B.C.’s Ministry of Energy is offering $4.8 million in rebates for electric vehicle charging stations. Hakai Energy Solutions can help you select and install the right EV charger.
Choosing an EV charger
There are many factors to consider when choosing a charging system for your electric vehicle.
Location
Consider whether your charger will be indoor or outdoor and what weatherproofing you will need.
The number of outlets
If you want to be able to charge more than one vehicle at a time.
Amperage
The amperage of the charger (the higher the amperage, the faster the charging)
Cord length
Shorter cords are easier to store but the longer your cord is, the farther from the charging station you can be.
Network connection
If your charging station has a network connection, you can monitor, start, and stop charging from your phone.
Eligible for rebates
Make sure your charging system is eligible for rebates by checking the list at this link.
