52kW of solar for the Glacier View Secondary School, in Courtenay BC. Glacier View Secondary is one of twenty one schools within the Comox Valley’s School District 71. We are thrilled to be a part of another solar project initiative within our community. This project includes (113) 455W solar modules mounted to a flat-roof ballasted racking system. The school will have the ability to generate their own power, and export excess power generated through BC Hydro’s Net-Metering program on a 1kWh:1kWh ratio. Schools host large exposed roofs, and are long-term community facilities, making them ideal hosts for solar panel arrays.
