A Win for Renewable Energy—And for the Wild Places That Inspire It
We’re honoured to announce that Hakai Energy Solutions has been named Electrical Contractor of the Year at the Vancouver Island Building Industry (VIBI) Awards, in recognition of our work on the Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge project.
This award highlights not only the technical complexity of the installation but also our commitment to reducing environmental impact in one of the most ecologically sensitive—and logistically challenging—regions on the West Coast. Located north of Tofino in the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the lodge is accessible only by boat or seaplane. Delivering clean energy here required a level of planning, precision, and innovation rarely seen in traditional electrical projects.
