The Town of Comox now hosts large solar arrays on their three of their municipal buildings. The Firehall, Community Centre, and Public Works Building are now producing clean, renewable solar energy with their rooftop photovoltaic arrays. The combined systems include 272 solar modules and has a combined system capacity of 123.7kW dc. The roof types include torch on flat roof, and sloped metal roofs. Town of Comox has been assertive in their climate action goals, incorporating solar photovoltaics into the master climate action plan.
